  • Overview

    As Kitchen Manager you are the face of our Capital City Food Company program! You will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, and  sauté vegetables. You are responsible for making sure our food tastes DELICIOUS and is prepared QUICKLY. The ideal Kitchen Manager is a confident decision-maker who is ready to learn. He or she has experience in fast food and/or restaurant supervision or management and is an excellent communicator.

    • Work as a team to prepare and serve fresh, made to order food.
    • Order inventory
    • Manage food safe practices
    • Teach and train future kitchen managers

    Duties

     

    • Greet customers pleasantly and provide a fun and exciting customer service experience
    • Capable of leading a group of individuals to success
    • Must maintain personal hygiene and keep a clean, professional appearance as well as supervise team appearance standards
    • Know and use proper food handling techniques
    • Must be able to work at a fast pace while maintaining product quality
    • Must be knowledgeable about the current menu and able to suggest items to customers
    • Become efficient at preparing menu items compliant with company standards and recipes
    • Manage Capital City day-to-day inventory including monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues
    • Be mindful of product dates and inventory rotation guidelines
    • Comfortable with maintaining high service standards for all Capital City employees at your location
    • Operate the Point of Sale system pursuant to company standards
    • Replenish products and supplies to ensure in stock items at all time
    • Complete all kitchen housekeeping functions (i.e., cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, etc.)
    • Represent the Capital City Food Company brand by exemplifying our core values
    • Actively participate in Plan to Succeed Operations Model and all company required training programs
    • Report to the Store Director and provide valuable information on daily sales, employee behavior, and inventory

     

    Qualifications

    • A winning attitude
    • Previous restaurant supervision experience. (i.e. shift supervisor, shift lead, management, etc.)
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers
    • Be a team player and provide a fun, energetic work environment for those around you
    • Flexible and adaptable to change
    • Ability to handle difficult situations professionally
    • Desire to be a part of a performance-driven team
    • Ability to work at a fast pace under pressure
    • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask with minimal supervision
    • Available to work 38 - 48 hours per week including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
