  • Overview

    The Recruiter possesses the ability to drive the sourcing and recruiting processes to present qualified candidates to the hiring departments. The successful candidate is as a pro-active business partner to 7-Eleven on the recruiting process by meeting hiring and retention objectives within an agreed amount of time. Recruiter builds relationships with the company's labor pools and demonstrates experience developing relationships with the community as well as with their assigned hiring supervisor. The Recruiter is expected to track and communicate results to other stakeholders in the company. This position is onsite at our home office with travel to local recruiting venues. Successful candidate will possess our Plan to Succeed core values as well as have outstanding communication, relationship management, critical evaluation, coaching, and business acumen competencies.


    • Analyze, develop, design and implement recruitment program and goals with an emphasis on each recruiting areas set of KPI’s.
    • Consults with hiring supervisors to achieve recruiting goals.
    • Demonstrates expertise in generating talent through networking and creative sourcing methods.
    • Develops sourcing plans and participates in recruiting events within the boundaries of our store geographies for retail stores.
    • Develops recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
    • Meets with senior level management to develop specific recruiting plans and report back on results of those needed plans in a timely manner.
    • Develops and maintains professional relationships with high school, college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
    • Directs the efforts of employment agencies and search firms, including negotiating and controlling employment-related fees for any needed non store positions.
    • Schedules and attends job/career fairs to generate qualified applicants.
    • Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
    • Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring supervisors for interviewing. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
    • Conducts reference and background checks per company guidelines.
    • Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and retention statistics and recommends program improvements to meet department(s) KPIs / objectives.
    • Maintains records on recruiting activities per company guidelines.
    • Accurately capture data and reports key staffing metrics in a timely manner.
    • Participates in development of annual recruiting budget.
    • Participates with retail operations in setting and forecasting sourcing and retention needs for all store positions.

    • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet
    • 5-8 years progressively responsible recruiting experience
    • 3+ years recruiting expertise in the convenience store industry preferred



    • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Human Resources or similar or equivalent work experience
